PRINCIPLES TO GUIDE BCFF GOVERNANCE

The new governance model of BCFF will be developed and implemented through
communication, consultation and collaboration and will:

Reflect an elected, policy-governing, and competency-based board that is
engaged, efficient, transparent and ethical.

Comply with legal requirements and follow best practices;

Recruit  the best people with the right skills (both floorball and non-floorball) into
leadership roles;

Embrace values of equity and inclusiveness;

Strengthen relationships  with  member clubs,
individual members and other partners and stakeholders;

Define clearly the roles and responsibilities of the Board, committees, staff and
members of BCFF;

Embrace the principles of transparency, efficiency and accountability for
outcomes and results as outlined in the strategic plan;

Respect the tradition and rules of Floorball and the innovation it brings as a new Sport for Canadians.
