PRINCIPLES TO GUIDE BCFF GOVERNANCE
The new governance model of BCFF will be developed and implemented through
communication, consultation and collaboration and will:
Reflect an elected, policy-governing, and competency-based board that is
engaged, efficient, transparent and ethical.
Comply with legal requirements and follow best practices;
Recruit the best people with the right skills (both floorball and non-floorball) into
Embrace values of equity and inclusiveness;
Strengthen relationships with member clubs,
individual members and other partners and stakeholders;
Define clearly the roles and responsibilities of the Board, committees, staff and
members of BCFF;
Embrace the principles of transparency, efficiency and accountability for
outcomes and results as outlined in the strategic plan;
Respect the tradition and rules of Floorball and the innovation it brings as a new Sport for Canadians.
