BC Floorball with Media Partners Kommunity Hockey and Equipment Partner Modern Hockey were privileged to be invited to the 2012 Coaches Conference put on by Aaron Wilbur and Nick Tan from theCoachesSite.com
The conference is in it’s second year, and targets every level of Hockey Coach, from PeeWee to Pro. The speaker list is world class, and the topics are based on the most current and relevant themes of the Day. The overall buzz, from all the attendees, was tremendously positive and it was inspiring to see everyone embrace the concepts of Floorball for Hockey players.
Most notably, coaches like Darryl Sydor, Mike Keenan, Glen Hanlon, Guy Gadowsky were not only intrigued by what Floorball could offer to Hockey kids in today’s development environment, they were leaving the conference looking to start the ball rolling with their own Floorball initiatives.
We had several conversations with visiting Coaches that had heard directly from Hockey Canada and BC Hockey, that Floorball is not just the “it’ thing to do with your teams and skills development, it’s the smart choice for training skills like puck control, puck movement, body position, fitness and fun.
We would like to thank two time Stanley Cup Champion and Minnesota Wild Associate Coach-Darryl Sydor for bidding on the Reactor and Zone Floorball Sticks and we are happy that the proceeds are going toward H.E.R.O.S. A charity that we are proud to support!
