Hello I’m Har The Journalist
I have been playing Floorball with the BCFF since May of two thousand and seven. I heard about Floorball while reading The Province. I figured I could probably play this unique sport as long as there wasn’t too much running or physical play.
I play Floorball because it’s fun, you can stay in shape easily and the people are very friendly. There are no rainouts when you play Floorball. It’s not an expensive sport to take up. There are always great people from around the world that play Floorball here.
The Purple Haze Floorball stick that I use is custom made. I obviously had to have it shortened. I like that it has a jewel at the top of it. I’m not yet a scoring machine but the stick has a mind of its own and it shoots like crazy. People on the bus give me weird looks when I board the bus with The Purple Haze.
I most like to play rover, defense and forward. I like to sneak up on my opponents and take the ball away. The element of surprise is key. I’m very good at passing because my eye level is at a different level then most people and I actually look before I pass.
In Conclusion, Floorball is an exciting sport to play. The BCFF welcomes all people with various experience levels. If you see me playing Floorball pass the ball, I’m usually open.
